Interlaken Community Memorial Garden
You are invited to join in The Interlaken Community Memorial Garden gardeners!
Our group of fun loving gardeners will meet in the Community Memorial Garden on:

Saturday, May 18 from 9:00-10:30/11:00 AM for deadheading, weeding with focus on the new birdbath area & sawing of a mystery bare branch in the front of the garden.

Saturday, May 25 from 9:00-10:30/11:00 AM for deadheading, weeding & adding new aged manure to the garden mounds. May also need to trim the rose bushes.
The Community Memorial Garden was begun in 2006, generously funded & supported by area residents, businesses as well as past residents, and is a project of the Interlaken Community Action Group. Together we have transformed a once vacant lot used for parking into a beautiful space on Main St., Interlaken. If you have questions or need further information, please contact at my email address below. No special gardening skills are needed.

Interlaken Olde Home Day June 8th all day and into the evening. Music, food, vendors, parade, Citizen of the Year, Chicken Bar-B-Q, museums, dancing, friends and fellowship. Main Street will be closed from 8 to 5 for the safety of all involved.

Units for the Parade contact Karen at 607-342-0485. Line-up begins at 11:00 and the parade steps off at 1:00 pm.
Interlaken Historical Society: History on the Sidewalk Saturdays in July & August
Join the Historical Society for a variety of events as we celebrate History on the Sidewalk with groups, pictures, conversation and more.
Saturday July 13th Art on the Sidewalk, featuring items from the collections and works by local artists.
Saturday July 20th Cars on the Sidewalk, highlighting the Interlaken Sales Company and cars from the 20th and 21st Centuries.
Saturday July 27th Community Coffee Time with fellowship and food at the Farmers' Museum
Sunday July 28th Community Summer Social, 4:30 pm Hot dogs, lemonade and ice cream provided, bring a dish to pass and join us for fun, food and fellowship.
Saturday August 3rd History of the Civil War with Reynolds' Battery 1st NY Light Artillery as well as highlights from the Museum collections.
Saturday August 4th History without batteries, enjoy a day of kids games, no batteries required.
Saturday August 24th History of fighting fires, then and now. Including the Interlaken Volunteer Fire Departments Hand Pumper, the brush truck, and highlights from the collections.
