Olde home day 2010

Plan to be in Interlaken on June 12, 2010 for Olde Home Day 2010

NEW THIS YEAR: Calling all photographers
South Seneca Chapter Order of the Eastern Stars and Farmerville-Union Masonic Lodge
are sponsoring a community wide photography contest. There are two categories
Our Beautiful Community and  People Making a Difference, and three age divisions 4th to 8th grade,  9th to 12th grade, and Adults. Community voting on Olde Home Day will determine the winners in each category and division. Photographs need to be delivered the week of June 1 to June 7th. Click here for a complete set of guidelines, or for questions click on Photography  under 2010 Contacts.

Music all day and dancing in the evening. We are continuing to work on the music line-up for the morning, Mike Shaw will be us from 11:00 am to noon. Stop back often to see who else is coming. The South Seneca School groups will be performing after the Parade and plan to stay for the evening with Silverado.

Vendors: See the list below for some of our vendors and their websites. We still need vendors so if you are interested in being a part of Olde Home Day 2010 click on the link at the right. Look for the Green Thumb Garden Club on the Library Lawn along with the Library Book Sale.

Food: Lots of great food all day, and into the evening. Merchants and organizations will have everything from chicken bar-b-q to hot sausage and maybe even strawberry shortcake for you to enjoy. Chicken Bar-B-Q by the Interlaken Sportsmen's Club begins at noon.

Displays:  The Interlaken Historical Society Museums will be open, Car Pride will have their cars on displays and in the parade, and a number of local organizations will have informational tables.

And for the kids, we will have a building search with prizes and a fun house with lots of room to bounce around.

Parade: The parade forms at the South Seneca Central School, and steps off at one. If you are interested in being in the parade: music, automobiles, organizations, floats we would like to hear from you. Please click on the Parade link on the right and let our Parade Chairman know.
